About the Opera

Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, Così fan tutte premiered in Vienna in 1790 and remains one of opera’s most charming and psychologically layered comedies.

Two young couples are thrown into an elaborate test of faithfulness orchestrated by the mischievous philosopher Don Alfonso. Through disguises, romantic mix-ups, and clever schemes, the story playfully examines trust, temptation, and the unpredictable nature of love — all set to some of Mozart’s most exquisite music.
