Event Overview
Spring in Vancouver brings blooming flowers, longer days, and one of the city’s most cheerful seasonal events. The Big Easter Run 2026 returns on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Jericho Beach Park for its 11th annual edition, known as “The Hoppiest Event Around.”
This festive holiday-themed run welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, offering a fun and active way to celebrate Easter outdoors. The event includes three race options: a 1–3 km Little Bunny Run, a 5 km run/walk, and a 10 km run, making it suitable for families, casual walkers, and experienced runners alike.
Children participating in the 1–3 km run can also join the popular Gnubees Egg Hunt, while the event atmosphere features music, entertainment, door prizes, and community vendors. Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, the Big Easter Run offers a lively and welcoming community experience.

The event starts near the waterfront at Jericho Beach Park, one of Vancouver’s most scenic coastal parks. The course winds along beautiful trails surrounded by spring blossoms before looping onto the beachside path with stunning views of the North Shore Mountains and the Vancouver skyline.
With gentle inclines and a mix of gravel and trail pathways, the route provides an enjoyable run or walk for participants of all fitness levels.
The event is pet-friendly and stroller-friendly, although dogs must be on leashes and strollers must start in the final wave for safety.
Race Distances
Participants can choose from three distances:
Little Bunny Run – 1 to 3 km (1 km loops)
A fun run designed especially for kids and families. Participants in this category can take part in the Gnubees Easter Egg Hunt.
Big Easter Run – 5 km
A relaxed run or walk along scenic park trails, perfect for beginners or casual participants.
Big Easter Run – 10 km
A longer route for runners seeking a greater challenge while enjoying the coastal views.
Participants must complete the route within 2 hours, while the Little Bunny Run has a 40-minute time limit.

Pricing & Registration
Early bird pricing starts from:
- $26 — 1–3 km Little Bunny Run
- $35 — 5 km Big Easter Run
- $37 — 10 km Big Easter Run
Additional registration offers include:
- 15% group discount when registering 4 or more participants in a single transaction
- Youth discount: Participants under 18 pay a maximum of $29 for the 5 km or 10 km events
- Charity entry option: Donate $100 or more to KidSport BC and receive a free entry to the run

1:45 PM — Warm-up for 5 km and 10 km participants
2:00 PM — 5 km and 10 km runs begin
4:00 PM — Course closes
