🌟 About the Event
Presented by the Hogan’s Alley Society and the Jr Black Achievement Awards Society, Boots to Broadway is a homecoming celebration honouring Black excellence, history, and artistic legacy in Vancouver.
Lovena B. Fox returns to the neighbourhood that shaped her family’s story. Her parents — musician and club owner Ernie King and dancer and entertainer Choo Choo Williams — were central figures in Hogan’s Alley’s historic nightlife scene. Their Harlem Nocturne nightclub once stood as a vibrant cultural hub for music, joy, and community connection.
This special performance marks a meaningful return of Black artistry to a place of deep cultural roots.
