Now in its ninth year, Burnaby Pride Festival brings together the city’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community, families, allies, and supporters for an inclusive and empowering afternoon filled with entertainment, community resources, and joyful celebration. Set in the heart of Burnaby at Civic Square, this family-friendly festival offers activities for all ages in a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment.

🎭 What to Expect

• Main Stage Entertainment: Live performances, speakers, and community stories

• Kids Zone: Face painting, bubble fairy shows & lawn games

• Community Booths: Hosted by inclusive local organizations and support services

• Low Sensory Zone: Quiet area with fidgets, shade, and calming environment

• EMF-Reduced Area: Device-free space for those with sensitivities

• Food Trucks:

  • Crema

• On-site parking is limited — carpooling and transit are strongly encouraged

• Shaded seating areas with folding chairs

• Public water refill station — bring your bottles

• First Aid Tent located at the back of the park with clear signage

• ASL interpreters on stage & visual descriptions for blind/low vision guests

• Terrain: A mix of grass, concrete, and paved stone

🧘 Wellness & Safety

• Fragrance-Reduced Policy: Please come fragrance-free or fragrance-reduced for health sensitivity

• EMF-Reduced Zone: Please power off or switch devices to airplane mode in designated areas

• COVID-19 Awareness: Masks optional but encouraged in crowds; masks & hand sanitizer available at the Pride Info Tent

• Security Team On-Site: Please report any issues to staff or security; avoid engaging with protestors
