The annual Car Free Day returns to Port Coquitlam on September 6, 2025, transforming McAllister Avenue into a lively street festival filled with music, activities, and community spirit. Presented by TransLink, Car Free Day is part of a nationwide initiative that encourages people to explore sustainable transportation, connect with neighbours, and enjoy vibrant, car-free public spaces.

This free, family-friendly celebration will include live entertainment, food trucks, kids’ activities, markets, community booths, and electric vehicle displays—a perfect day for the whole family.

Entertainment & Activities

🎶 Main Stage

Enjoy live performances on the McAllister Avenue main stage from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

🎭 Family Stage (Leigh Square)

Catch shows designed for kids and families at the Family Stage from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

🚲 Zero Gravity Bike Show

High-energy stunt performances that push the limits of gravity!

• Showtimes: 2:35 PM, 3:35 PM, 4:40 PM

🚴 Little Sprockets Bike Course

A guided bike obstacle course for kids, open from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

🎮 Games & Creative Fun

• Games Area with fun for all ages

• Arts & Crafts Zone to spark creativity

• Fountain Shows in Leigh Square at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM

Food, Drink & Market

🍔 Food Trucks & Vendors

A variety of local food trucks and vendors serving delicious eats throughout the festival.

🍻 Beverage Garden

Relax in the beverage garden and enjoy local drinks responsibly.

🛍 Market & Community Displays

• Shop locally at the market—remember to bring reusable bags

Getting There

• Guests are encouraged to walk, cycle, or take transit to the event.

• A FREE bike valet will be available at McAllister Avenue & Donald Avenue for secure bicycle parking.
