Overview:
Get ready for an unforgettable summer experience at the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival 2024! Join us on June 22-23 at Concord Pacific Place, Creekside Park, and False Creek for a weekend of exhilarating dragon boat races, vibrant music, and community celebration. This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better, with free admission for all to enjoy.
Festival Highlights:
International Dragon Boat Races:
June 22-23, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Witness the thrill of dragon boat racing as teams from around the world compete in this ancient sport. The 2024 race grid will be released on June 17.
TD Main Stage:
June 22-23, 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Enjoy live performances featuring local BIPOC, queer, and female artists. The 2024 lineup announcement is set for May 21.
NEW: Light up the Night - Public Drone Show:
June 22, ~9:30 PM
Celebrate the first weekend of summer with Vancouver’s first public drone show, adding a spectacular visual display to the festival.
NEW: Concord Community Zone:
June 22-23, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Enjoy family activities at the finish line, providing fun and engagement for all ages.
Cultural Pavilions:

Festival Features and Amenities:
- TD Main Stage: Located in the TD Main Stage Zone.
- Concord Community Zone Family Activities: Concord Pacific Presentation Centre/Finish Line.
- Cultural Pavilions: TD Main Stage Zone by Medal Podium.
- ConcordLive.ca Viewing Screens: Located at Concord Community Zone, TD Main Stage Zone, and Got Craft Market Zone by Marshalling.
- Festival Merchandise: Available at the Oddball Workshop Tent in front of the TD Main Stage.
- Washrooms: Located throughout the site and at Creekside Community Centre.
- First Aid: Available between Racer Village and TD Main Stage, top of dragon boat docks, and Creekside Community Centre. Look for the red flag indicating all First Aid tent positions. AEDs available at Creekside Community Centre and dragon boat docks.
- Baby Change Room: Located at Creekside Community Centre.
- Bike Parking: Available at Concord Community Zone.
- Bar Service: Available at TD Main Stage Zone and Red Truck Patio.
- Water Stations: Located at Red Truck Patio, Racer Village, and Creekside Community Centre.
- Food Trucks: Located between Racer Village and TD Main Stage.

Dragon Boat Racing Base in False Creek:
The races take place in False Creek, with the boat docks located near Olympic Village. Good vantage points for watching the races can be found around Concord Pacific Place, Creekside Park, and Vancouver’s Olympic Village on the south side of the water.
Getting Here:
- Public Transit: The festival is across the street from Main Street-Science World and Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain stations, and a short walk from Olympic Village Station. The first train on Saturday arrives by 6:45 AM, and by 7:45 AM on Sunday. Bus routes #3 Main, #8 Fraser/Downtown, and #19 Metrotown/Stanley Park will get you here. Visit TransLink to plan your trip.
- Biking: Bike lockups are available outside Science World, Creekside Community Centre, and the Concord Community Zone. Due to high visitor numbers, it’s recommended to lock your bike before entering the festival. Cyclists on the seawall may encounter detours and dismount zones.
- Parking: Limited street parking is available along Pacific Boulevard, Expo Boulevard, Quebec Street, Terminal Avenue, 1st Avenue, and Ontario Street.
