Vancouver’s original planetarium laser and light shows are back with an immersive, multi-show night at the BCIT Planetarium. Produced by Roundhouse Productions Inc., this special edition of Planetarium VidLaser Shows blends RGB lasers, 360° fulldome video, live choreography, analog and digital stars, and full concert sound inside the iconic deep-space dome.

Since 1978, Roundhouse Productions has been shaping Vancouver’s laser-show culture. Now upgraded with cutting-edge VidLaser technology, these shows deliver a one-of-a-kind audiovisual journey set to legendary music and cosmic visuals.

An award-winning astronomy show exploring the mystery of dark matter.

• Narration by Tilda Swinton

• Music by Mickey Hart (Grateful Dead)

🎸 8:05 PM — NEW! VidLaser Zeppelin

Three years in the making, this brand-new production features:

• 360° fulldome video shot in Iceland, the Côte d’Azur, and Italy

• Immersive animations by top Vancouver creators

• Classic analog laser imagery from the original 1978 show, fused with modern digital laser abstracts

• Endless starfields projected across the dome

🌈 9:05 PM — VidLaser Dark Side of the Moon

A live-choreographed update of the original Roundhouse classic, now enhanced with:

• 360° real-world fulldome video

• Multiple RGB diode lasers

• Analog + digital star projectors

• Full concert surround sound
  A must-see for Pink Floyd fans and first-timers alike.

🎶 10:15 PM — By Request: VidLaser Gorillaz or Radiohead

The late show alternates by date between Gorillaz and Radiohead, responding to popular demand.

• Live choreography with 360° lasers and video

• An intense, sensory-rich finale to the night

• 🚪 Door tickets (cash only on opening night):

  • Single VidLaser show: $15 (incl. tax)

  • Double Feature Deal: Any two VidLaser shows same night — $27 (incl. tax)

• Some tickets may be available at the door, but availability is not guaranteed
