The Stalew Pow Wow 2025 returns for its fourth annual edition, bringing one of Metro Vancouver’s largest Indigenous cultural gatherings to the Langley Events Centre. Hosted by the stɑl̓əw̓ Arts & Cultural Society, this immersive three-day event invites communities from across the Fraser Valley and beyond to celebrate Indigenous culture, music, dance, regalia, and art.

“stɑl̓əw̓” translates to big river in the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language, honouring the Fraser River’s eternal importance to Indigenous communities and reflecting the values of connection, sharing, and cultural resilience.

What to Expect at Stalew Pow Wow 2025

The Stalew Pow Wow is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration where visitors of all ages can experience:

• Grand Entries with colourful regalia and traditional welcomes

• Drum Contests featuring some of the top groups from across Turtle Island

• Dance Competitions across youth, adult, and golden age categories

• Special Events including the Red Dress & Orange Shirt honours, Pageant Crowning, and Hat & Boot contests

• Cultural Sharing with intertribal dances, storytelling, and community recognition ceremonies

About the Organizers

The stɑl̓əw̓ Arts & Cultural Society is an Indigenous women-led registered charity located on unceded Kwantlen First Nation territory in Fort Langley. The Society works to honour and preserve Indigenous culture, empower artists, and provide platforms for cultural sharing. The Township of Langley is also a lead partner in hosting the Stalew Pow Wow.
