Overview: The White Rock Sea Festival is a premier summer event that combines beautiful coastal scenery with vibrant festivities. Celebrated annually during the BC Day Long Weekend, the festival is a beloved tradition featuring live music, a salmon barbecue, fireworks, and a host of family-friendly activities.
What to Expect:
- Live Entertainment: Enjoy a variety of musical performances across multiple stages, including tributes to popular artists and bands, local talent, and cultural performances.
- Salmon Barbecue: Delight in the flavors of a traditional salmon barbecue, a highlight of the festival’s culinary offerings.
- Fireworks Finale: Cap off the festival with a spectacular fireworks display over the water, lighting up the night sky.
- Outdoor Movie Night: Kick off the festival with a free outdoor screening of "Kung Fu Panda 4" at Semiahmoo Park on Friday, August 2 at 9:15 PM. Gates open at 7:00 PM.
- Torchlight Parade: Marvel at the illuminated floats as they parade down Marine Drive on Saturday, August 3 at 8:30 PM.
- Kid’s Zone: A dedicated area with interactive inflatables, mini golf, balloon twisting, face painting, and more to keep the little ones entertained.
- Environmental Zone: Learn about the ocean and local habitat through educational booths, arts and crafts, and guided walks.
- Vendor Marketplace: Browse through stalls featuring handmade jewelry, clothing, arts and crafts, and a variety of delicious food options.

Getting There:
- By Transit: Take bus routes 361 and 362 from Uptown White Rock to the waterfront. Check TransLink’s website for route details and detours.
- By Car: Limited parking is available at Semiahmoo Park and along the waterfront. Carpooling is highly recommended.
Parking Information:
- Semiahmoo Park Parking: Daily parking rates apply.
- Waterfront Parking: Hourly rates available at lots east and west of the pier. West Beach Parkade offers 180 stalls with hourly and daily rates.
Road Closures:
- Saturday, August 3 (Parade):
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Soft closure from Bishop St. to Oxford St.
- 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Hard closure from High St. to Oxford St.
- 6:00 PM: Oxford St. to Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Park Hard Road Closure
- 7:00 PM: Road Closure for westbound traffic from Parker St. to Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Plaza
- 8:30 PM: Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Park to Parker St. Road Closure
- 9:00 PM: Road Closure for eastbound traffic from Parker St. to Stayte Rd.
- Sunday, August 4 (Fireworks):
- 9:30 PM – 11:30 PM: Marine Drive closed east of Vidal St. to west of Balsam St.
