Event Overview
Experience one of Vancouver's most beloved summer traditions at Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival 2026, Canada's largest professional Shakespeare festival. Set against the spectacular backdrop of English Bay, mountains, and the Vancouver skyline, Bard on the Beach returns to Sen̓áḵw/Vanier Park with a season featuring Shakespearean comedy, tragedy, and bold new interpretations of classic stories.
Running from June through September, the festival presents four productions across two theatre venues, combining world-class performances, stunning waterfront views, and unforgettable outdoor theatre experiences.
Whether you're a lifelong Shakespeare fan or attending for the first time, Bard on the Beach offers one of the most unique cultural experiences in Metro Vancouver.

Shakespeare's beloved comedy receives a lively Vancouver-inspired adaptation set around a soccer-obsessed suburban community. Filled with music, mistaken identities, clever schemes, and hilarious twists, this production follows Sir John Falstaff's unsuccessful attempts to charm two married women and steal their husbands' fortunes.
Macbeth

One of Shakespeare's most famous tragedies, Macbeth explores ambition, fate, power, and corruption. Set within a dark dystopian world, this powerful production examines the rise and fall of a warrior whose pursuit of the crown leads to devastating consequences.
Goblin: Oedipus

Following their acclaimed Bard debut, the mischievous Goblins return with a wildly entertaining adaptation of Sophocles' Oedipus the King. Antigone
