Event Overview

Ahoy, mateys! 🏴‍☠️ The Big Pirate Run returns for its 4th annual edition at Garry Point Park in Richmond on Sunday, September 21, 2025. With distances ranging from the 1–3 km Little Pirate Run to the 21.1 km half marathon, this swashbuckling event welcomes runners, walkers, strollers, and even leashed pets.

Expect pirate costumes, wooden finishers’ medals, personalized bibs with pirate names, and plenty of family-friendly entertainment. It’s more than a run—it’s a full-blown pirate adventure on the scenic West Dyke and Middle Arm Trails.

– 1–3 km Little Pirate Run (1 km loops): $22
– 5 km: $40
– 10 km: $42
– 15 km: $45
– Half Marathon (21.1 km): $50
