🌊 About the Event

The Inlet Spring Regatta is Port Moody’s signature dragon boat racing event and the first regatta of the BC dragon boat season, held on the scenic waters of Burrard Inlet at Rocky Point Park. Featuring 200m races in BUK boats, the event draws competitive paddling teams from across the province.

More than just racing, the festival includes live music, wellness activities, strolling performers, food trucks, a yoga zone, and a beer garden by Yellow Dog Brewing. Bring the whole family for an energetic, waterfront celebration.

⏰ Full Schedule of Events

• 7:30 AM – Team Manager & Steersperson Meeting (by gazebo in marshaling area)

• 7:45 AM – Opening Ceremony (at the water’s edge – everyone welcome!)

• 8:30 AM – Races Begin

• 9:00 AM – Wellness Zone Opens (Free massages for paddlers by Enhance Sport & Wellness)

• 11:00 AM – Beer Garden Opens (Sponsored by Yellow Dog Brewing – open until 5:30 PM)

• 12:00 PM–5:00 PM – Strolling Entertainment:

  • Adam Faber: 9 AM – 1 PM

  • Steve Marriott: 11 AM – 3 PM

  • John Parsons: 1 PM – 5 PM

• 2:00 PM – Rolling Awards Ceremony

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams awarded immediately after each final race

• 3:00 PM –

  • 50/50 Cash Draw in support of SHARE Family & Community Services Society

  • Wooden Canoe Raffle Draw (supports Nothin’ Dragon Paddling Society)

• 5:00 PM – Last Call in Beer Garden

• 5:30 PM – Event Site Closes

Rocky Point Park is easily accessible via public transit (walking distance from Moody Centre SkyTrain/West Coast Express). There is limited parking on-site, so visitors are encouraged to take transit or bike.
