The Richmond Farm Fest 2025 returns to Garden City Lands on Sunday, September 7, offering a free, family-friendly celebration of agriculture, food, and community. Richmond is home to more than 200 active farms, and Farm Fest highlights this agricultural heritage with an afternoon of farmers markets, culinary experiences, sustainability education, and family fun.

With its mix of hands-on exhibits, kid-friendly activities, and delicious food, Farm Fest showcases the best of Richmond’s farming past, present, and future.

Activities & Attractions at Richmond Farm Fest 2025

🥕 Farmers & Artisans Market

Meet local farmers and artisans offering fresh, locally grown produce and homemade goods. Stock up on seasonal vegetables, fruits, and unique products made in the community.

👨‍🍳 Exceptional Food & Beverages

• Culinary Demonstrations by Pursuit Kitchen at 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM.

• Food trucks and local vendors serving a wide variety of delicious bites.

• Adult beverages at the KPU Brew Barn featuring Kwantlen’s award-winning brewery program and Richmond’s own Fuggles Brewery.

🧒 Kids’ Zone – “Little Farmers”

Children of all ages can enjoy agriculture-themed fun including:

• Traditional harvest festival games

• Educational activities about farming and food

• Climbing, crafts, and interactive exhibits designed to teach kids how things grow

🌿 Agriculture & Garden Displays

Learn more about sustainable gardening practices, local ecosystems, and food production. Hands-on exhibits will encourage all ages to connect with nature and agriculture.

🚜 Farm Wagon Tours

Hop aboard a hay wagon ride and tour the 136.5-acre Garden City Lands. Discover the history of the park, learn about native plants, and explore local food production and conservation efforts.

🌱 Richmond’s Agricultural Story

Interactive displays highlight Richmond’s long farming history and showcase how technology and innovation are shaping the future of agriculture in the city.

🎶 Community Stage & Entertainment

Relax and enjoy performances from local musicians and entertainers on the Community Stage. The program also includes opening and closing ceremonies and a headline musical act.

🌸 Plant Labyrinth

Take a meditative walk through the Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) Labyrinth for a peaceful, reflective experience.

• Red Zone – Farming & Family Fun: Farmers market vendors, Urban Bounty, Kwantlen Seed Library, Haybale Theatre, KPU Brew Barn & Stage

• Orange Zone – History & Entertainment: Community Stage, agricultural displays, and heritage exhibits

• Green Zone – Kids & Community: Kids’ Zone, Bike Valet, Big Blue Blocks play area, Bog Walk & Tours, Community Food Forest, Medicine Garden, Garden City Conservation Society, U-Pick harvest, Seed Bombs, Richmond Nature Park, and West Coast Seeds

• Clean Transportation: Free bike valet available, with carpooling and public transit strongly encouraged.

• Compostable Service: All food service items are required to be compostable or recyclable.
