Event Overview
Autumn is here, the leaves are turning, and that means it’s scarecrow season in Fort Langley! The 4th Annual Scarecrow Showcase returns to the Fort Langley National Historic Site from October 11 to October 31, 2025, in partnership with local community groups.
This beloved fall tradition kicks off during the Cranberry Festival on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Visitors are invited to wander through the historic site and discover a collection of quirky, creative, and hand-crafted scarecrows spread across the grounds. Each one is designed by local participants — from schools and community organizations to independent artists — creating a colourful and festive atmosphere throughout the month.

Vote for Your Favourite Scarecrow:
Explore the fort and choose your favourite creation. Visitors can vote onsite or online between October 11 and 31, with the winner announced on November 1, 2025. -
Scavenger Hunt:
Take part in a family-friendly scavenger hunt around the site while enjoying the creativity and charm of each display. -
Cranberry Festival Launch:
The Scarecrow Showcase begins in conjunction with the Cranberry Festival, adding to the excitement and community spirit of Fort Langley’s fall celebrations.
