20th Annual Shamrock’n Race 2026 – Burnaby Lake
Event Overview
The 20th Annual Shamrock’n Race returns on March 15, 2026, inviting runners and walkers to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a scenic run around Burnaby Lake Regional Park. This festive race features three distances — 5K, 7 Mile, and Half Marathon — and welcomes participants of all fitness levels.
Known for its beautiful natural surroundings, the race route circles Burnaby Lake through forest trails and wildlife habitat. Participants can enjoy fresh air, lakeside views, and the chance to spot birds and animals while running through one of Metro Vancouver’s most scenic urban parks.
Many participants embrace the St. Patrick’s Day theme by dressing in green costumes and festive outfits, adding a fun and lively atmosphere to race day.

Burnaby Lake Regional Park is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary located in the middle of Metro Vancouver. Formed by glaciers more than 12,000 years ago, the lake has become a popular destination for outdoor recreation and nature exploration.
Route Highlights
The 7 Mile and Half Marathon courses circle Burnaby Lake clockwise, offering scenic views and forested pathways throughout the route.

Participants must attach the timing tag to their shoelaces using provided zaps. Results are typically posted within 24 hours.
