Steveston Festival of Trees 2025 – Gulf of Georgia Cannery
The Steveston Festival of Trees returns from November 29, 2025 to January 4, 2026, transforming the historic Gulf of Georgia Cannery into a festive indoor winter wonderland. Presented in partnership with Tourism Richmond, this annual holiday tradition invites the community to explore beautifully decorated Christmas trees, enjoy seasonal performances, and celebrate the stories and objects that shape our holiday memories.
More event information is available on the
Official Steveston Festival of Trees Website.
Event Overview
The Cannery will showcase a vibrant forest of holiday trees decorated by community members, organizations, and local businesses. Visitors can walk through elaborate tree displays, experience festive traditions, and vote for Steveston’s Favourite Tree.
Tree voting is included with regular admission and can be done:
• Onsite at the Cannery
• Online via the festival’s Facebook page @GulfofGeorgiaCannery (November 29–December 31)
The theme for 2025 is Holiday Touchstones, inspired by the exhibit Cannery REcollections: Redefining Storytelling through Objects. Participants are encouraged to incorporate meaningful holiday items, decorations, and gifts that hold personal or cultural significance.
