The Vancouver Queer Film Festival (VQFF) 2025 returns this fall for its 37th annual edition, celebrating queer, trans, and Two Spirit voices through cinema, art, and dialogue. Since 1988, VQFF has been at the heart of Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ cultural scene, providing a platform for diverse filmmakers and fostering safer, inclusive spaces for all.

Special Presentations include the Opening, Centrepiece, and Closing films—each paired with unforgettable parties.

Over 10 days of in-person screenings across Vancouver’s cultural venues, followed by 7 days of online streaming (BC only).
🌈 Community & Impact

Hosted by Out On Screen, the festival supports Out In Schools, which has reached more than 120,000 youth across BC since 2004.

Over the years, VQFF has showcased 4,800+ hours of queer film and welcomed 5,700+ community volunteers.

Daily in-person programming runs September 11–14 and September 18–21, 2025.

Free: Self-identifying Indigenous peoples and companions supporting accessibility needs
🎟 Festival Passes:

All-Access Festival Pass: $195 (Access price $100) – includes all screenings + events, both in-person and online.

Digital Pass: $100 – full access to all online screenings across BC.
🎟 Membership:
All tickets include a non-voting membership to the Vancouver Out On Screen Film and Video Society. Voting memberships are $5 and included with Festival Passes.

Many films are captioned; ASL interpretation offered at select events.

Free admission for Indigenous guests and companions assisting attendees with accessibility needs.
