Vancouver Queer Film Festival

Now in its 38th year, the Vancouver Queer Film Festival brings a full slate of queer, trans, and Two Spirit cinema to downtown Vancouver for eleven days in-person, followed by a week of online streaming available anywhere in BC. The full programme and tickets launch in August, with sliding-scale pricing designed to make the festival accessible regardless of budget.

Tickets

All ticket prices include tax, fees, and a non-voting membership to the Vancouver Out On Screen Film and Video Society. The same pricing range applies to both in-person and online screenings.

• Special Presentations — $19: Opening, Centrepiece, and Closing Presentations, including entry to the Opening and Closing Parties
• Standard — $17: Regular screenings and events
• Access — $12: Students, youth, seniors, and low-income attendees
• Access+ — $7: For anyone needing further reduced pricing
• Free: Self-identifying Indigenous peoples, and companions accompanying those needing assistance to access events

Passes

Festival Pass — $195 (or $100 Access price)

An all-access pass covering every screening and event, in-person and online. Earlybird discount on standard pricing available until August 13, 2026. Includes first pick of seats (theatres open 30 minutes early for passholders vs. ~15 minutes for other ticketholders), access to the online Watch Platform, and a voting membership to Out On Screen. About 30% of seats at each screening are reserved for passholders.

Digital Pass — $100

Full access to all online film screenings, streaming anywhere in BC. Does not include in-person screening access — additional tickets are required for those. Includes a voting membership to Out On Screen.

Memberships

In compliance with the Motion Picture Act and Consumer Protection BC, attendees must be members of the Vancouver Out On Screen Film and Video Society and 18+ to view unrated films (verified at each screening). All tickets automatically include a non-voting membership; a voting membership — included with Festival Passes — can also be purchased separately for $5, showing direct support for Out On Screen's work using film to uplift queer, trans, and Two Spirit people and artists.
