Lansdowne Centre celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with Bunnies Around One Moon, a day of bunny encounters, lantern crafting, and local shopping in support of Rabbitats Rescue Society, a volunteer-run charity dedicated to rescuing abandoned and feral rabbits.
What to Expect
Bunny Meet & Treat
Spend $38+ anywhere at Lansdowne Centre on September 26 and present a same-day receipt at the activity booth for a 15-minute bunny experience, including a veggie cup for feeding. Held at Centre Court.
Bunny Bamboo Lantern Workshop
A hands-on Hong Kong-style bamboo lantern crafting session, also redeemable with a $38+ same-day receipt. Held at Kiosk Court, with sessions at 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Each eligible receipt is redeemable for one activity only, regardless of purchase amount.
Moon Rabbit Bunny Yoga
Flow alongside rescue rabbits in a 45-minute session at Kiosk Court, with sessions at 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM. Pre-registration required via Eventbrite, with a $25 donation per participant going to Rabbitats. Bring your own yoga mat; children under 10 must be closely supervised.
Lantern Riddle Game
Follow or share Lansdowne Centre on social media to play, solve a riddle in the lantern tunnel, and win prizes.
Artisan Market + Arts & Crafts
Local vendors featuring handcrafted goods, plus themed souvenir-making sessions.

In Support of Rabbitats Rescue Society

Volunteer
Volunteers are needed for a single 7-hour shift on September 26, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, helping greet shoppers, assist with social media engagement, and manage event traffic. Perks include complimentary snacks, water, and rest breaks, with signed volunteer hour confirmation available on request (including supervisor evaluation forms for high school students needing a minimum of 12 total hours).
The Lansdowne Food Garden
Running alongside the festival season, Lansdowne Centre's Food Garden grows fresh produce that's donated directly to the local community and food bank. Free gardening workshops run every Thursday from May through October, 3:30–4:30 PM, led by Victory Gardens experts — no experience needed. Sessions are held in the parking lot close to T&T, weather permitting.
