14. Laity Pumpkin Patch (Maple Ridge)

Abbotsford Pumpkin Patches

Abbotsford is about an hour from Vancouver, and it's home to two of the biggest fall farm experiences in BC.

18. Fall at the Farm at Maan Farms (Abbotsford)

Maan Farms goes big. There's an expanded forest pumpkin patch with 15 photo ops (including what they call the biggest pumpkin house in Canada), two corn mazes, three ziplines, pedal go-karts, two jumping pillows, and a barnyard with Highland cows, alpacas, and more.

Tips for Visiting a Pumpkin Patch in the Lower Mainland

Dress for mud. Almost every farm here runs rain or shine, and the fields get soft after a wet week. Boots and a rain jacket will save your day.

Go on a weekday if you can. Maan Farms says weekend lines can hit 20 minutes, while weekdays are usually wait-free. Hazelmere, Laity, and Greendale also charge less on weekdays.

Book ahead where it pays. Taves charges $3 more at the gate, and Greendale's online prices are lower than door prices.

Check the refund policy. Maan Farms and VanDusen tickets are non-refundable, so pick your date carefully.

Bring bags and some cash. Eagle Acres suggests bringing your own bags, and Rondriso takes cash and Interac.

Leave the stroller at home for the big farms. Maan Farms allows them but doesn't recommend them. Port Kells is the exception, as it's stroller friendly.
