Join us for the 33rd Annual UBC Apple Festival, a celebration of BC’s most beloved fruit! This family-friendly event is the perfect outing to explore the diversity of apples, with over 33,000 lbs of locally grown varieties available for sale. The UBC Apple Festival offers an exciting day filled with activities, making it a must-visit fall tradition in Vancouver.

What’s New This Year?

• Cooking Demonstrations: Discover delicious apple recipes and learn how to incorporate BC apples into your meals with live cooking demos!
• Expanded Tasting Tent: Taste rare and unusual apple varieties, and experience the diversity and flavor of BC apples firsthand.
• Local Food Vendors: Savor fresh apple treats and seasonal dishes from a variety of local food vendors.
• Children’s Area: Fun games, crafts, and educational displays to engage the little ones.

Event Highlights:

• Apple Market: Browse and purchase from a selection of 33,000+ lbs of apples grown right here in BC.
• Tasting Tent Admission: An additional $10 per person (ages 8+) allows entry to our popular Tasting Tent. Space is limited—book early to secure your spot.
• Family-Friendly Activities: Enjoy live music, crafts, games, and entertainment throughout the festival grounds.
• Fundraising Effort: Organized by the Friends of the Garden, the Apple Festival is a fundraiser supporting education, research, and conservation initiatives at the UBC Botanical Garden.

Ticket Information:

• Early Bird Pricing (until Sept 30, 2024):
  • Adults (8-64 years): $9
  • Seniors (65+ years): $8
• Regular Admission (from Oct 1, 2024):
  • Adults (8-64 years): $11
  • Seniors (65+ years): $10
• Festival Weekend On-Site Pricing: $12 per person for general admission
• Children (0-7 years): Free (must book a $0 ticket)
• Note: Tickets include access to the UBC Botanical Garden.

Additional Details:

• Rain or Shine: The event continues regardless of weather conditions. Dress accordingly with cozy clothing and rain gear if necessary.
• Admission Restrictions: UBC Botanical Garden membership cards or other affiliated passes are not valid for festival admission. Tickets must be purchased separately for this event.
• Pet Policy: No pets allowed, except for service animals. Please leave your pets at home.
• Parking & Accessibility: UBC Botanical Garden is accessible, with parking available nearby.
