🎶 Celebrate Vancouver Through Music

The Day of Music 2025, hosted by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (VSO), returns on Saturday, May 24 for a full day of spectacular performances across multiple venues in downtown Vancouver. This free event is a tribute to the universal language of music, featuring genres from classical and jazz to world music and opera, performed by celebrated artists, emerging musicians, and youth ensembles.

This city-wide musical celebration will feature 100+ performances at renowned locations including the Orpheum Theatre, VSO School of Music, Christ Church Cathedral, TELUS Garden, and more.

🎻 Orpheum Theatre (601 Smithe St)

• 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: VSO Open Rehearsal with Otto Tausk & Jimmy Lee

• 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Langley Fine Arts Orchestra

• 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM: VSO Evening Performance featuring Grieg’s Piano Concerto and more!

🎷 Westcoast Energy Hall

• Performances by Saxophilia Saxophone Quartet, Alderwood Ensemble, Garmon Journey, and more throughout the day.

🎹 Pyatt Hall – VSO School of Music (843 Seymour St)

• Jazz, classical, and cultural fusion with Itamar Erez Trio, Mohamed Assani Trio, and Quartetto Vivo.

• 9:15 AM – 11:15 AM: Sinfonietta Open Rehearsal

• Musical theatre cabarets by students of the Half-Day Professional Training Program
