What is Brahm’s Tams Drum Circle?
The Brahm’s Tams Drum Circle is a free, community-led, outdoor drum circle held every sunny Tuesday evening at Third Beach, located on Vancouver’s scenic Stanley Park shoreline. It began in the early 2000s and has since grown into a cultural phenomenon, attracting hundreds of people each week from all walks of life.
Whether you're a seasoned drummer, a curious first-timer, a dancer, or just someone who enjoys good vibes, this gathering welcomes you with open arms (and rhythm-filled beats). The event celebrates artistic freedom, self-expression, and positive community engagement, all set against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful beaches in Vancouver.
Why You Should Attend
🌅 Sunset by the Beach
Imagine a glowing sunset over the Pacific Ocean as rhythmic drums echo across the sand, and people dance in harmony. The energy is electric and serene at the same time — truly a magical summer evening experience.
🥁 All Are Welcome
No registration or experience is required. Anyone can bring a drum or percussion instrument and join the circle. Spectators are encouraged to enjoy, dance, and absorb the atmosphere.
🕺 Unstructured Freedom
There are no formal performances or stages. The circle builds organically, shaped by the people who show up and the music that emerges in the moment.
📷 A Visual & Social Experience
Bring your camera or phone to capture the colourful scene — from face-painted dancers to fire-lit sunsets and expressive drummers. The event is often featured on social media, adding to its legendary reputation.
