Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni is the luxury hotel formerly known as Shangri-La Vancouver. It joined Hyatt in mid-2025, and Hyatt has announced plans to rebrand it as Park Hyatt Vancouver after a multi-million-dollar redesign.
Location
The hotel is at 1128 West Georgia Street, at the corner of Thurlow. It occupies the lower floors of the Living Shangri-La tower and backs onto Alberni Street, the city’s luxury shopping strip.
Your stay
The hotel has 119 rooms and suites with views of the harbour, mountains and skyline. Guests can earn and redeem World of Hyatt points, and the hotel is home to Carlino, a northern Italian restaurant.

Getting there
Burrard Station on the Expo Line is about a five-minute walk. Buses run along West Georgia Street.
