Red Tag Sale and Last Chance Deals
On the final day, Sunday, October 18, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the Red Tag Sale takes 25% off all items with a red border on their price tags. It’s your last chance to score deals on new and used ski and snowboard gear, clothing, and accessories.
Sell Your Used Ski and Snowboard Gear
Have gently used downhill, backcountry, or Nordic skis, snowboards, or boots? Sell them at the sale and pick up something new. Growing kids? Sell last year’s boots and find a bigger size. There’s a $3 listing fee (tag fee) and a 20% commission on items that sell, and all proceeds support local mountain safety and rescue efforts. Helmets, clothing, and avalanche safety gear can’t be consigned.
How Selling Works
- Bring government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s licence, services card, or passport
- Gather your used skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and bindings
- Go to the public gear drop-off on Friday, October 16, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fairgrounds Public Racket Club at Capilano Mall
- Finalize your listings. Choose a red tag or a white tag. Red tags automatically discount on the second sale day. If you’re unsure how to price an item, the gear experts can recommend a price
- Watch for an email report at the end of each sale day listing everything that sold
- Get paid. The sale keeps 20% of the pre-tax selling price and pays you the rest. Cheques are sent within 2 business days of the event and usually arrive by the Friday after
- Pick up unsold items from Value Sports at 440 W Hastings St, Unit 101. Anything not picked up is donated
You can pre-register your gear online to speed up drop-off.
