Description
Movember, the global leading charity working to improve men’s health, launched The Real Face of Men’s Health: 2025 Canadian Report nationwide during the Men’s Health Week 2025 (June 9th – 13th). The report was undertaken by the Movember Institute of Men’s Health as too many men are living with poor health or are dying young from conditions that are preventable. The report, co-authored by Dr. John Oliffe (Professor and Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Men’s Health Promotion at the University of British Columbia) and Niigaan Sinclair (Anishinaabe from Peguis First Nation, a writer, editor and professor of Indigenous Studies at the University of Manitoba), advocates for the creation of a National Men’s Health Strategy and urges the Government of Canada to commit to its development.
On July 22nd, the Men’s Health Research program and Reducing Male Suicide research excellence cluster at UBC, in collaboration with Movember, is hosting the BC Provincial launch of the report. We invite you to join us for a panel discussion to collectively build understandings about the challenges and potential remedies for promoting men’s health.
Refreshments are provided during the event.
