Experience the Spirit of Culture and Community
Join the Squamish Nation for the 3rd Annual Memorial Squamish Nation Youth Powwow, taking place July 11–13, 2025, at the Capilano Longhouse Field in Xwmelch’stn Village, West Vancouver. This three-day celebration is a powerful gathering of Indigenous dancers, drummers, families, and visitors from all walks of life. Open to everyone, the powwow welcomes the public to witness the beauty and vibrancy of Indigenous culture through traditional dancing, drumming, food, and ceremonies.
The event honours youth and culture through competitive dance and drum performances, featuring multiple grand entries, spotlight specials, raffles, and community activities. Whether you’re Indigenous or non-Indigenous, this is an inclusive space to learn, connect, and celebrate together.

Parking & Accessibility
🚗 Limited on-site parking available. Free shuttles are provided from the Park Royal North parking lot (NE corner of Marine Drive & Taylor Way). Shuttles will run throughout the weekend to and from the powwow grounds.

Can anyone attend?
Yes! Everyone is welcome. While only Indigenous participants can enter competitions, all guests can enjoy vendors, performances, and cultural activities.
Are tickets available at the gate?
Yes, both day and weekend passes can be purchased at the entrance.
Are pets allowed?
For the safety and comfort of all guests, please leave pets at home unless they are certified service animals.
