Kimchi & K-Food Festival 2025 in Burnaby

Experience the vibrant culture of Korea at the Kimchi & K-Food Festival 2025, happening on September 5–6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the City of Lougheed Parking Lot, right next to Lougheed Town Centre SkyTrain Station in Burnaby. This free two-day festival is Western Canada’s largest celebration of Korean food, music, dance, and culture, drawing over 30,000 visitors.

Friday, September 5, 2025

• 12:00 PM – Opening Ceremony

• Live Performances: Gayageum, jazz bands, DJs, and Ultimate Breaking Championship (2-on-2 battle)

• Kimchi Making Class (3:00–4:00 PM) – preregistration required

Saturday, September 6, 2025

• 12:00 PM – Opening Ceremony

• Entertainment: K-Pop showcases, Taekwondo x K-Pop fusion, VIP ceremony, and K-Pop Dance Cover Challenge

• Dance Contests: Crown of Moves street dance competition

• Kimchi Making Classes (3:00–4:00 PM & 4:30–5:30 PM) – preregistration required

• K-Street Food Market – 20+ food booths serving authentic Korean favourites like tteokbokki, hotteok, and gimbap

• Hands-On Kimchi Making – craft your own kimchi and take it home

• Hanbok Photo Studio – try on traditional Korean outfits for a memorable photoshoot

• Squid Game Challenge Zone – play dalgona, ttakji, and other iconic Korean games

• K-Pop & Street Dance Battles – high-energy competitions with fan voting

• K-Beauty & Skincare Workshops – live demos and free samples

• K-Traditional Pub (19+) – taste makgeolli and kimchi in a retro tavern setting with traditional yeopjeon coins

• Multicultural Food Booths – Vietnamese, Filipino, Indian, and more
