The International Women’s Day March Vancouver 2026 is a powerful grassroots community event dedicated to celebrating, amplifying, and advocating for the diversity of women across Metro Vancouver. Hosted by the Vancouver Women’s Day Association, this annual march brings together activists, community leaders, families, and allies to raise awareness about gender equity, intersectional issues, and the experiences of self-identifying women in the community.
Taking place in Downtown Vancouver, the event features inspiring speeches, community engagement activities, and a collective march through the city in solidarity with the global International Women’s Day movement. Mission & Community Impact

2026 Theme – Give To Gain Campaign
The 2026 “Give To Gain” campaign encourages generosity, collaboration, and collective action. The message highlights that when communities give support, awareness, and solidarity, they gain stronger progress toward gender equality and social equity.
Accessibility & Inclusivity
The event is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all community members. Accessibility features include ASL interpretation, family-friendly activity areas, and a safe, respectful environment for participants of diverse backgrounds and identities.
Land Acknowledgement
The International Women’s Day March Vancouver committee acknowledges that the event takes place on the unceded Coast Salish territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. The organization recognizes these Nations as the original caretakers and stewards of the lands and waters and is committed to education, reconciliation, and solidarity with Indigenous communities.
The committee also highlights the importance of supporting Indigenous women and Two-Spirit peoples in British Columbia and encourages ongoing learning about Indigenous history, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).
