Event Overview
Celebrate the traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival at the Chinese Canadian Museum with a family-friendly day of culture, creativity, and hands-on learning. This special Family Discovery event explores the history and customs of one of the most important traditional Chinese celebrations through crafts, storytelling, and culinary experiences.
Visitors can enjoy drop-in activities inspired by the Dragon Boat Festival and the museum's current exhibition, Momentum: Power and Identity in Sports, while learning about the significance of dragon boat racing and zongzi, the traditional bamboo leaf-wrapped rice dumplings enjoyed during the festival.
