RiverFest celebrates BC Rivers Day and World Rivers Day at the Fraser River Discovery Centre, spread across three days of family-friendly activities, exhibitors along the quay, live performances, and hands-on programming connecting visitors to the river's stories.
Schedule
Friday, September 19 — Walks & Workshops
A day dedicated to connecting with the river's stories through guided experiences: sign up for a Coast Salish plant walk, a guided quayside walk, an ecologist walk, or an aquatic animals workshop.
Saturday, September 26 — Family Fun Zone & Workboat Parade
Visit the Family Fun Zone and art workshops, stroll the quay to check out exhibitors, enjoy live performances, and watch the Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade.
Sunday, September 27 — Family Fun Zone & Samson V
Visit the Family Fun Zone and art workshops, board the historic Samson V, and check out the Vancouver Wooden Boat Society's open house.
About the Fraser River Discovery Centre Society
A non-profit organization, the Fraser River Discovery Centre Society works to bring together the many stories and voices of the Fraser River to discover, celebrate, and inspire passionate stewards of the river. Donations support the organization's ongoing work.
