Event Overview
Each year, thousands gather at Victory Square in downtown Vancouver to honour and remember the courageous individuals who have served Canada in times of war, conflict, and peace. The Remembrance Day Ceremony at Victory Square is one of the city's most significant commemorations, offering a moment of reflection, unity, and gratitude.
The ceremony includes traditional military and veterans’ processions, choral performances, prayer readings, and the observance of two minutes of silence at 11:00 AM, marking the exact moment the Armistice came into effect in 1918, ending the First World War.
Members of the public are invited to lay wreaths, place poppies at the cenotaph, and pay tribute in their own personal way.
