    50th Annual Powell Street Festival 2026

    Celebrate the 50th Annual Powell Street Festival on August 1 and 2, 2026, at Oppenheimer Park and the historic Paueru Gai (Powell Street area) in Vancouver. As Canada's largest and longest-running Japanese Canadian festival, this free two-day celebration showcases Japanese Canadian arts, culture, food, performances, and community while commemorating its milestone 50th anniversary.

    Held during the BC Day long weekend, the festival welcomes visitors of all ages to experience live music, taiko drumming, dance, visual arts, martial arts, cultural workshops, delicious Japanese cuisine, artisan vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout Vancouver's historic Japantown.
