Vancouver Oddities & Curiosities Expo 2026
For lovers of the strange, unusual, and bizarre, the Oddities & Curiosities Expo is the world's largest traveling oddities event, bringing hand-selected vendors, dealers, artists, and small businesses to the Vancouver Convention Centre. Browse taxidermy, preserved specimens, original artwork, horror and Halloween-inspired pieces, antiques, handcrafted oddities, quack medical devices, creepy clothing, odd jewelry, skulls and bones, funeral collectibles, and more. Everything on sale is legal to own and sustainably sourced. Sideshow performers take the stage throughout the day, and hands-on classes let you try taxidermy and specimen preservation yourself.

About the Expo
The Oddities & Curiosities Expo bills itself as the first and original traveling event dedicated to oddities vendors and dark artists. It is run entirely DIY and aims to be a welcoming place to discover new artists, meet like-minded people, and feel at home among others who share the same interests.
Classes at the Expo
Class tickets are sold separately from general admission, and each class provides all materials.
Raccoon Taxidermy Class
Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | $457 CAD
An introductory, hands-on class for beginners. Each student receives a skinned, cleaned, and tanned raccoon, opossum, or rat hide, depending on the workshop. You prepare your form, set the eyes, test fit and mount the hide, groom it, then prepare a plaque and mount your finished piece. The class runs about 6 hours with two 30-minute breaks.
Sunset Moth Entomology Class
Saturday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | $210 CAD
Learn the foundations of bug pinning, from safe handling to pinning and mounting. You practice on a moth or butterfly, then build a frame and display case for your Sunset Moth, with two specimens for the price of one.
Scorpion Habitat Entomology Class
Saturday, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM | $210 CAD
Preserve and pin a scorpion, pose it, and create a habitat to display it in. Extra scorpions will be available to buy for building a fighting scene.
Octopus & Tentacle Globe Wet Specimen Class
Sunday, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | $210 CAD
A short lecture on preparing and preserving specimens, then you inject a palm-sized octopus to take home and place a preserved tentacle in a globe of liquid medium. The class also covers safety when working with preservation chemicals.
Ratalope Coffin Taxidermy Class
Sunday, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM | $245 CAD
A shorter taxidermy class where you fix the eyes, mount the hide on its form, and prepare a coffin-style plaque for display.
