Join over 500,000 attendees for one of the world’s largest Vaisakhi celebrations! The Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade returns on Saturday, April 19, 2025, showcasing cultural floats, live music, community performers, and traditional free food and drink generously served along the parade route.
Hosted by the Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar, this vibrant community-organized celebration honours the creation of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699 and the Punjabi harvest festival roots of Vaisakhi. Everyone is welcome to experience the spirit of inclusivity and tradition.
Parade Route & Road Closures

Traffic Closures: From 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
⚠️ Expect significant traffic delays and road closures from 72 Avenue to 88 Avenue and Scott Road to King George Boulevard. Access to 128 Street and nearby sections will be most affected. Plan alternate routes if you're travelling in the area.
🚗 Resident Access:
Residents can access closed areas by showing a BC Driver’s License with an address inside the affected zone.

Businesses within the route must request access passes in advance by submitting:

If you're planning to set up a performance stage or serve food, the following rules apply:

This is a No Drone Zone under Transport Canada regulations. Flying drones near crowds or buildings may result in fines up to $3,000. Only licensed operators with permits are allowed.
