One of Metro Vancouver’s most anticipated St. Patrick’s Day-themed races, the Shamrock ‘n’ Race 2025 invites runners and walkers of all levels to lace up and race through the scenic trails of Burnaby Lake Regional Park. This event offers three exciting race distances—5K, 7-Mile, and Half Marathon—each providing breathtaking views, fresh air, and the chance to spot local wildlife in this glacially formed lake park.

This fun and festive event is perfect for seasoned athletes and casual runners alike, offering a stunning natural coursewhile embracing the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.

🏆 Race Day Details

⏰ Start Times (Staggered Starts):

• 9:00 AM – Half Marathon
• 9:03 AM – 7-Mile Race
• 9:06 AM – 5K Race

🚩 Course Highlights:
✔ Loop around Burnaby Lake – Enjoy scenic trails through one of the city’s most beautiful nature reserves.
✔ Stunning Wildlife Views – Spot birds and local animals as you race through a designated wilderness sanctuary.
✔ Themed Race – Wear your best St. Paddy’s Day costume and add to the festive atmosphere!

🏅 Awards & Recognition:

• Awards presented as soon as the top 3 runners in each category cross the finish line.
• Course closes at 12:00 PM SHARP (3-hour time limit).

📦 Race Package Pickup:

• Details will be sent to registered participants closer to race day.

🎒 Bag Check: Available by donation at the charity table near the start/finish line.
