Public Disco: Granville Island Block Party 2025 – A Two-Day Dance Celebration on the Waterfront

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s debut, Public Disco: Granville Island Block Party returns bigger and bolder in 2025 with a full weekend of free programming on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, at Lot 55 – 1494 Old Bridge Street, right behind Granville Island Brewing.

As the first stop in Public Disco’s 2025 Summer Block Party Series presented by 2 Hoots Hard Iced Tea, this two-day celebration transforms Granville Island into a vibrant, inclusive dance floor where everyone is invited to connect, move, and groove — all for free.

🎶 Two Unique Days of Music

✦ Day 1 – Saturday, June 7 | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Curated by G-Luve, the opening day explores the roots and rise of disco — evolving into house, garage, and deeper club sounds. DJs will guide you through a soulful sonic journey crafted for open-air dancing and feel-good energy.

✦ Day 2 – Sunday, June 8 | 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Curated by Brendocha of Gateo, day two celebrates Latinx music and culture, featuring a lineup of DJs, gogo dancers, and artists showcasing vibrant rhythms from across the Americas. Expect a rich Latin food feature, vibrant performances, and a community celebration like no other.
