The Peak of Christmas returns to Grouse Mountain for the 2025 holiday season, offering an immersive winter experience high above the city. Known as Vancouver’s “North Pole,” Grouse Mountain transforms into a festive mountaintop village featuring sparkling light installations, holiday entertainment, seasonal activities, and family-friendly attractions.
Set amid snow-covered forests and sweeping views of Vancouver, this annual event blends natural beauty with classic Christmas traditions. Visitors can stroll through illuminated pathways, meet beloved holiday characters, enjoy outdoor skating, and experience one of the most atmospheric winter destinations in Metro Vancouver.
Event Highlights
Light Walk at Blue Grouse Lake
The Light Walk is one of the signature attractions of the event. The lakeside trail surrounding Blue Grouse Lake is transformed into a glowing winter pathway with enchanting light installations, illuminated trees, and scenic lookouts. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk through the snow while surrounded by holiday brilliance.
Mountaintop Outdoor Ice Skating
Grouse Mountain’s outdoor skating pond offers a classic winter activity set against dramatic mountaintop views. Guests of all ages can enjoy open-air skating surrounded by snow-covered trees and charming alpine atmosphere. Skates are available for rent at the Sliding & Skating Zone.
Santa’s Workshop & Christmas Crafts

Breakfast with Santa

Reindeer Habitat & Character Encounters
Guests can visit the reindeer habitat to meet Vixen and learn more about reindeer care and behaviour. Throughout the season, holiday characters such as the Grinch, friendly elves, and roaming performers make appearances across the mountaintop village, providing interactive moments for children.
Sliding Zone
Families can enjoy Grouse Mountain’s Sliding Zone, offering snowy downhill fun for younger visitors. The Sliding Zone provides a safe, designated area for kids to enjoy gentle slopes and winter play.
Theatre in the Sky
Classic Christmas movies are featured daily at Theatre in the Sky. This indoor attraction provides a warm and entertaining break between outdoor activities, offering nostalgic holiday films for guests of all ages.
