About Spirit Halloween Richmond Gardens

Most people don't expect a shopping trip to come with jump scares, but that's part of the fun here. Moving, shrieking animatronics are set up throughout the store, the lighting is dim and moody, and there's a creepy sound effect waiting around almost every corner. Younger kids tend to grab a parent's hand, teenagers dare each other to set off the motion sensors, and grown-ups quietly start planning next year's front yard.

Underneath the atmosphere is a well-stocked costume and décor shop. The Richmond store carries outfits for adults, kids, toddlers, and pets, including officially licensed characters from film, television, gaming, and classic horror. There are also Spirit Halloween exclusives you won't see at other stores, which is handy if you'd rather not show up to the party dressed the same as three other guests.

What You'll Find In Store

Halloween Costumes

Pick a direction and there's probably an aisle for it. Shoppers can choose from:

• Scary costumes for horror fans who want to frighten the neighbours
• Classic and retro characters for a bit of nostalgia
• Funny and inflatable costumes that work well at parties
• Men's, women's, and teen costumes in current pop culture styles
• Kids' and toddler costumes for trick-or-treating
• Couples and group themes for friends, families, and office events
• Pet costumes so your dog or cat can join in

Makeup, Masks and Accessories

The finishing touches are where a costume comes together. You'll find special effects makeup, face paint, wigs, masks, fake blood, props, and other accessories. If you're stuck on how to complete a look, the staff can suggest what pairs well.

Animatronics

Spirit Halloween's animatronics are a big draw for Richmond decorators. These motion-activated figures move, speak, and startle anyone walking by, making them a strong centrepiece for a porch, garage haunt, or party. Many are on display in the store so you can try them before taking one home.

Indoor and Outdoor Decorations

Whether your style is playful or properly frightening, the décor section has you covered:

• Tombstones and graveyard fencing for lawns and front gardens
• Fog machines that roll a low mist across your display
• Halloween lights to give the house an eerie glow at night
• Hanging props, wall décor, and tabletop pieces for parties
• Pumpkin décor, cobwebs, spiders, and small finishing details

A Hassle-Free Shopping Trip

The store is organized by theme, product type, and character, so it's easy to go straight to what you came for or browse at your own pace. Team members know the stock well and can walk you through how an animatronic works, suggest makeup for a specific character, or help you plan a décor setup. With its location on Steveston Highway near Highway 99, the store is simple to reach from most of Richmond and South Delta.

Spirit of Children

Through its Spirit of Children program, Spirit Halloween raises funds for child life services at children's hospitals, helping kids and families feel more comfortable during hospital stays. You can add a donation at checkout. Find out more on the Spirit of Children page.
