Betty Lee immigrated from Kuala Lumpur with her family around 1990 and took over Café D'Lite on West Broadway, later moving to the current location at 3144 West Broadway. Her family continues her legacy after her passing.

In 2023, the family opened a second location at 186 Keefer Place in Chinatown, near the T&T Supermarket.
