Now in its 13th year, the Luminary Festival returns to Sunstone Park for a free evening where light, art, and imagination transform the park into something extraordinary. Expect illuminated displays, interactive activities, live entertainment, food trucks, a Lantern Parade, and a main stage concert, alongside returning favourites and new additions to this year's lineup.
Festival Lineup
Enchanted Forest Walk
A newly activated walkthrough experience featuring light installations woven through the park's natural setting.
LED Performers & Stiltwalker
Roving LED performers and a stiltwalker add movement and spectacle throughout the evening.
Face Painting & Mehndi
On-site face painting and mehndi stations for festivalgoers of all ages.
Lantern Making
A hands-on lantern-making activity ties into the evening's Lantern Parade — lanterns and costumes are encouraged for all attendees.
Light Installations & Interactive Activities
Illuminated art installations and interactive displays are set up throughout Sunstone Park.
LED Novelties for Sale
Light-up novelty items are available for purchase on-site.
Lantern Parade — 8:30 PM
The festival's signature moment, inviting attendees to join a parade of illuminated lanterns through the park.
Main Stage Concert: Ten Souljers — 9:00 PM
The evening closes with a live concert under the stars.

Food Trucks
Big Red's Poutine (poutine), Kumare (Filipino), Bread and Cheese (sandwiches/grilled cheese), Alohaaa Hot Dogs (Hawaiian/veggie hot dogs), Chai Samosa by Roy's, Furry Fairy Bites (nachos/cotton candy/snow cones), Little Ooties (donuts), Cookie Ice Cream, and Soda Rebel (drinks/dirty sodas).
Getting There: Parking & Shuttle
There is no parking available at Sunstone Park. Free parking and shuttle service run between North Delta Recreation Centre and Sunstone Park, starting at 6:00 PM. The shuttle includes a bus equipped with an automatic lift and space for walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters. A few accessible parking spots are reserved close to the park on Delsom Crescent for those unable to board the shuttle.

Lanterns & Costumes
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lanterns and costumes for the parade — lantern-making inspiration is available for anyone wanting ideas ahead of time.
