For more than 40 years, the Richmond Country Farms Pumpkin Patch has been part of fall tradition for generations of families, many of whom first visited as children and now bring little ones of their own. Every season includes wagon rides, pumpkins in the field, farm animals, food, and photo opportunities.
Early Opening
The patch opens a little early this year for a first weekend of picking on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27. The farm is then closed Monday and Tuesday before reopening Wednesday, September 30 for the full season through Halloween Day.
Admission
- Weekdays (Monday–Friday): $15 + tax
- Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): $20 + tax
Pick Your Own
A wagon ride carries visitors out to the patch, where they can take their time browsing the rows before choosing their pumpkin. Admission includes one pumpkin of any size, shape, or weight — big porch pumpkins, little round ones, tall skinny ones, bumpy ones, crooked stems and all.
Around the Patch
Every visit includes a wagon ride out to the patch and back, a Spartan apple, the corn maze, farm photo spots, animatronic dinosaurs, and the flower fields left over from sunflower season. Entertainment runs along the wagon rides throughout.
Weekend Extras
On weekends, a CP Huntington train ride loops around the farm with its own on-board entertainment, and a live band plays throughout the day.
Fall Field Trips for Schools & Daycares
School and daycare groups are welcome throughout the season. Groups that book for the first week of the season receive 20% off.
A Few Patch Notes
As a real working farm, conditions can be muddy and uneven, especially after rain:
- Wear closed-toe shoes or boots — no sandals, heels, or good clean shoes
- Watch for slippery, soft, or uneven ground
- The corn maze can get muddy in wet weather
- Keep children close at all times
- Stay on marked paths and open visitor areas
- No running or climbing on displays, fences, wagons, or equipment
- Stay seated on wagons and trains; wait for staff before boarding or exiting
- Follow all staff directions, posted signs, and weather notices
- Be gentle with animals — no feeding or touching unless signs or staff say it's okay, and sanitize hands after
- Dress for the weather, whether that's rain jackets, warm layers, sunscreen, or a change of shoes
