Rooftop Remix turns the VPL Central Library into an after-hours fundraising party, giving book and library lovers a chance to explore donor-supported spaces not usually open to the public, dance to a live DJ, and enjoy food and drinks on the rooftop. Every ticket goes toward building free Early Learning Spaces at VPL branches — play-based spaces designed for children aged 0–5 to discover play, learning, and connection from the very start.
Why It Matters
One in three BC children enters kindergarten developmentally vulnerable in at least one critical area for future success. The library reaches these families with zero barriers, regardless of background, before school even begins — last year alone, VPL's early years programs reached over 140,000 children and caregivers, with many more still waiting to be reached. Funds raised at Rooftop Remix go directly toward expanding that access.

6:00 PM – 6:40 PM — Fund-a-Need
Hosted by Layne, the Auctionista.
6:40 PM – 6:55 PM — Live Music
A performance by YSN Fab.
6:55 PM – 8:30 PM — Rooftop Party
The evening moves to the Phillips, Hager and North Rooftop Garden for canapés, drinks, and dancing with DJ GUACHIIIN.
What's Included
Every ticket includes a book from the curated Raincoast Books collection — a literary treasure to take home from the evening.
Can't Attend?
Those unable to make it can still support the cause by donating directly to help fund early learning spaces for Vancouver's youngest readers.
