Now in its 4th year, Salmon Sessions Music Festival returns to the Semiahmoo Fish & Game Club in South Surrey for an evening of live music by the river, combining award-winning and rising BC talent with food, local drinks, and community atmosphere — all while supporting the 100% volunteer-run Little Campbell Hatchery's salmon conservation efforts. All ages are welcome, and dogs are permitted on leash, with lots of free parking on site.
2026 Music Lineup
Six BC bands span rock, blues, and reggae funk this year:
- Wailin' Walker Band — Blues powerhouse Al "Wailin' Walker" brings 50+ years of electrifying guitar and high-energy R&B, having shared stages with some of the greats.
- James Shepherd Band — A White Rock-based guitarist delivering a dynamic mix of rock and blues, known for blistering licks and expressive live performances.
- Three Nines Fine — A Vancouver five-piece rock band fresh off a Battle of the Bands win in White Rock, known for high-energy sets and standout guitar work.
- Generous Thieves — A reggae fusion band with international momentum, breaking out in Japan with sold-out shows and now bringing their sound home.
- Westwood Theory — A rising BC band forged in school jam sessions, known for raw energy and a bold, self-made sound.
- Rowan — A White Rock multi-instrumentalist who began busking at age 8, blending vintage and modern influences, with debut single "Poison Apple" released in 2026.
What to Expect
Artisan Market
Local handmade goods and crafts from a market of area vendors.
Beverage Garden
Featuring Three Dogs Brewing craft beer and Fraser Valley Cider Company, plus wine and ready-to-drink cocktails for guests 19+ and non-alcoholic options for everyone else.
Food Trucks
On-site food includes Gourmet Grub (burgers, fries, and poutine), Meet2Eat Mexican (tacos, burritos, and fish and chips), and Dozers Donuts (mini donuts). No outside food or beverages are permitted, though accommodations are made for allergies or special diets — contact organizers in advance to arrange this.
Family Fun Zone
Games and activities designed to keep guests of all ages entertained throughout the day.
Hatchery Tours
Guided tours of the Little Campbell Hatchery are included with admission, offering a look at hatchery operations and the surrounding grounds.
Tickets
- General Admission — $25: Includes live performances on the main stage, access to the Artisan Market, the Beverage Garden, and guided hatchery tours.
- Children (12 & under) — Free: Welcome at no cost when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- VIP Admission — $75 (limited availability): Includes full festival entry plus the VIP Tent in a premium viewing location, dedicated VIP bar service, two complimentary drink tickets, light snacks, and access to a relaxed VIP networking area with community leaders, sponsors, and guests.
Accessibility
Salmon Sessions is held outdoors on a field, and organizers have worked with the Equal Access Collective to build both short- and long-term accessibility plans. This year's supports include:
- Accessible parking and a dedicated accessible entrance and guest check-in
- An accessibility mat at the festival entrance
- Clear, high-contrast signage for navigation
- A dedicated accessible viewing area (no platform this year)
- A quiet/sensory area for guests needing a break from crowds and noise
- An Accessibility Team of volunteers available throughout the festival
