Grab your loved ones, cozy up on šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square (formerly known as Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza), and prepare for unforgettable evenings under the stars.

Thursday, July 4, 2024: Barbie (Opening Night)

• Activities: Wear your best Barbie-themed attire and walk the “Pink Carpet” for a chance to win prizes. Enjoy a life-sized Barbie Box photo booth, dance workshop hosted by Pop Queen Cardio, and performances by Canada’s Drag Race star Synthia Kiss and Vancouver's Reigning Drag Superstar 2024 Androgynass alongside the Quill Collective dance team.

Thursday, July 18, 2024: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

• Activities: Surprise activation by M&M’S® Canada and high-flying, action-packed performances by NZR Productions.

Thursday, August 1, 2024: Mamma Mia!

• Activities: Pride Night celebration featuring all-ages disco tunes by local DJs, dancing, and an ABBA-themed drag show presented by Public Disco.

Thursday, August 15, 2024: Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse (Closing Night)

• Activities: Participate in a cosplay costume contest, fun games, and watch super-heroic entertainers.

  • Appearances by Summer Movie Nights mascot, Poppy
  • Gary’s Kettle Corn
  • A rotation of some of Vancouver’s best food trucks like Shameless Buns, Roasted Revolution, and Taco Nori

Important Information:

• Seating: Some seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bringing your own seating and blankets is encouraged.
• Weather: Dress warmly as it can get cool when the sun sets.
• Getting There: Conveniently located in downtown Vancouver, the location is easy to access via public transit, bike, or foot.

By Transit:

Located right off Beach Avenue, the 23 Beach bus takes you directly to the event site. The 23 bus route starts at Main Street Skytrain station and passes through both the Stadium and Yaletown Skytrain stations. Other bus routes operating close to the event site include both the Robson bus and the Davie Street Bus. Use the Translink Trip Planner to find the most efficient way to get to and from Sunset Beach Park.

By Bike:

If you're planning to bike to the concert, Bike Valet and bike racks will be available for you to park and lock your bike while you enjoy the event. Bike Valet and bike rack capacity is limited and available on a first come first serve basis.

By Car:

Parking in the area is very limited, but if you must drive, consider parking in Stanley Park and walking to the event site. Arrive early and allow plenty of time to find parking.

Road Closures:

• Thurlow St: Closed between Pacific and Beach from 4 PM to 10 PM.
• Beach Ave: Closed between Thurlow and Jervis from 7 PM to 11 PM.
• Bute St: Closed between Pacific and Beach from 7 PM to 11 PM.
