Nuba: Vancouver's Modern Lebanese Original
Nuba is a modern Lebanese restaurant group founded by Lebanese-born Victor Bouzide in 2003. It began as a 15-seat spot on Hastings Street, built on his grandmother's recipes, and now has several Vancouver locations.
The Gastown restaurant at 207 West Hastings Street, at Cambie, is the group's flagship. Here's what to know.
About Nuba – Gastown
Nuba calls itself Vancouver's first modern Lebanese restaurant. Bouzide later partnered with Ernesto Gomez, and the group now runs a commissary kitchen that makes sauces, spice mixes and breads for every location.
The menu is known for healthy, vegetable-forward Lebanese food, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices. There are also fresh juices, cocktails and wine. Other locations include Kitsilano (3116 West Broadway) and Davie Street.
