Fiesta Mexicana — El Grito de Independencia brings a full day of Mexican culture, tradition, and flavor to the Vancouver Art Gallery and Robson Square, marking Mexico's Independence Day with music, dance, and food for the whole family. Presented under the theme "Our Roots. Our Celebration. Our People.," the free event is organized by Comunidad Mexicana en Vancouver, now celebrating its 15th anniversary.
What to Expect
Grito Ceremony
A moment that unites the community, marking the traditional "Grito" call of Mexican Independence Day.
Live Music
Live music runs throughout the event, bringing rhythms that move the crowd.
Folkloric Dance
Traditional folkloric dance performances tell the story of Mexican culture through movement.
