About Anh and Chi

The restaurant continues a family story. The siblings' parents, Hoang and Ly, ran Pho Hoang on Main Street, which became a Vancouver institution and moved to 3388 Main Street in 1997. After Hoang died in 2010, Vincent and Amélie left careers in the medical field and reopened the space as Anh and Chi in April 2016.

Ly, a home cook, became one of the first Vietnamese women in Canada to earn a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The team also runs the neighbouring Bib Gourmand bar Good Thief.
