La Mezcaleria: Regional Mexican and Mezcal on Commercial Drive
La Mezcaleria is a Mexican restaurant and mezcal bar at 1622 Commercial Drive, between 1st Avenue and Venables. It opened in 2013 from the team behind La Taqueria and calls itself the first mezcaleria in Canada.
The menu covers recipes from different regions of Mexico, with local organic ingredients and Ocean Wise seafood. It received an honourable mention for Best Latin American at the 2023 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards.
About La Mezcaleria
The agave list is one of the largest in Vancouver, with many rare tequilas and mezcals.
Owner Marcelo Ramirez is also behind La Taqueria.
