Halloween in Metro Vancouver 2026: The Complete Guide

Halloween around Vancouver runs much longer than one night. Pumpkin patches open in mid-September, haunted houses start in early October, and the fireworks and parades pile up in the last week of the month. Some events are free and gentle enough for toddlers. Others ask you to sign a waiver before you go in.

This guide is brought to you by the Vancouver Page Local Guide. We've gathered more than 50 Halloween events and attractions across Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, the North Shore, the Tri-Cities, Langley, Maple Ridge, and the Fraser Valley. Each listing has the basics (dates, location, price) and a link to its full event page on Vancouver Page, where you'll find directions, upcoming dates, and calendar links.

Prices and hours can change during the season, so check the event page before you head out.

Admission covers seven haunted houses, more than 15 rides running in the dark, and scare actors roaming the grounds. You won't see everything in one night, so start with your top picks. Recommended for ages 13 and up, and costumes and costume makeup aren't allowed.

Tips for Halloween in Metro Vancouver

Book weekend haunts early. PNE Fright Nights, the Police Museum tours, and Persian Halloween have all sold out in past years.

Check age limits before you buy. Many haunts don't refund tickets if someone in your group turns out to be too young. Hologram Zoo is 8+, PNE 13+, the Police Museum 16+, and the bar events 19+.

Know the costume rules. PNE Fright Nights doesn't allow costumes or costume makeup, and Capilano doesn't allow masks. Most events ban realistic weapons.

Dress for rain. Nearly every outdoor event runs rain or shine, and corn mazes and pumpkin fields get muddy fast.

Go to farms on weekdays if you can. Weekend lines are longer, and Hazelmere, Laity, and Greendale charge less on weekdays. October 23 is a Pro-D Day, so expect weekend-size crowds.

Plan Halloween night around transit. Several areas will be busy at once on October 31, and Burnaby closes roads for Central Spark on October 30.

Leave pets at home on fireworks nights.
